Introduction
ActionView became an EMS / SCADA software after the development of the Estate Estimator, Load Flow and Contingency Analysis. It is deployed in dozens of dealerships from generation, transmission and distribution, with unique characteristics in the automation of electrical systems. The Power Point presentation in the annex shows the use of ActionView in electrical applications
The ActionView is used to control more than one hundred substations and power plants from utilities of generation, transmission and distribution, supporting the main protocols of relays, multi-meters, RTU´s and PLC's. Between these protocols we can mention: IEC-60870-5-101/104 (master and slave), DNP 3.0 (master and slave), IEC-61850, ICCP, Modbus (RTU and TCP / IP master and slave), OPC (Client and Server), Courier, MLINK +, etc.
- Treatment appropriate of equipments like circuit breakers, recloses, switch gears, tap of transformers, etc.;
- Alarms with discrimination of milliseconds;
- Substation Maneuvers as a functionality of the software SCADA;
- Operational and emergencies limits changing automatically depending on the level of load (light, medium and heavy);
- Automatic alarm due to load unbalance;
- Prevention equipment and annotations implemented as native attributes of the tags;
- Camera images of the sites (substations and power plants) as objects of display;
- Real time and historical trend for as many variable as necessary;
- Trend monitoring of the forecast load; - Graph comparing the real load curve and estimated;
- Etc.

Energy Management System (EMS)
Spin, with the support of Unicamp, developed a sub transmission energy management system module fully integrated with SCADA software ActionView, which make it an EMS / SCADA with real-time and study modules. The software, in its first version, is located in the center of operation of CEB, in Brasilia. The applications used were based on methods and algorithms developed by A. Monticelli and A. Garcia, of Unicamp, who participated as consultants in the project.
The real-time environment is formed by the programs Network Builder, Power Flow, State Estimator and Contingency Analysis. The environment of Studies includes the functions of Electrical Analysis of Load Flow, Equivalent Static Analysis of contingencies.
The real time EMS server is a DLL (library) called from ActionView routines that allow the EMS module receives the status of switches that define the topology of the observable electrical and analog measured variables. These data are processed and made available to the Real Time Data Base (RTDB) the estimated value of the analog variables, with weighting of the quality of that value.
Module Queries and Reports
The ActionView has a set of tools that when properly parameterized generate, automatically, various operational reports of the utility. These reports can be retrieved through the company's corporate network.
Among these reports can be mentioned:
- Daily Report of Interruptions;
- Events, alarms, historical notes and measures;
- Quality Indexes;
- Analysis of reliability of communication channels;
- Loading of substations and components;
- Forecast load;
- Operating Report (daily, weekly and monthly);
Quality Management Module
The primary goal of a system of supervision and control of energy is a concessionary deal with events and alarms of the electric system in real time, reducing interruptions and maximizing the order of loads. Historical data of this system, however, constitute an important source of information for assessing the quality of energy, provided that treated by appropriate tools.
Module Quality Management analyzes historical data, logging events that may indicate deterioration in the quality of service provided by the distribution utility. These events, individual records in the database history, are treated by staff of the Utility, using tools to monitor the process available in the SCADA.
Audit and Training Module
The audit and training module allows the system go back to a past situation (date / time) and run a "play back" of all events, alarms, actions and states of equipment, at a pre-determined speed (% greater than the real). This feature allows you to do an audit of procedures performed in a state of failure, and allows the training of operators.
Load Rejection
In an industry of São Paulo, responsible for the production of 700 tones of pulp per day, without the need to write a line of "Script", was implemented a system that reject the industry load, depending on the status of the energy sources: CPFL Utility and two turbines. Bellow a screen to select the loads to be rejecting.
Automatic Recovery of Substations
This module, implemented locally in the distribution substations with more than one power transformer, in the case of an action to protect a transformer, which turns off the substation, automatically isolate the faulty transformer and the substation turns back on, allocating as loads as is possible considering their level of priority.
