Neoenergia Distribuição Brasília - 2017

Objective: supervision and control system for pole switches and circuit reclosers distribution.

System is integrated with the operation center's SCADA/ADMS

About 400 pole switches and reclosers existing in the distribution network were integrated into the COS via radio links.

The implemented system is independent of the SCADA/ADMS existing in the COS, but both integrate via communication protocol (IEC 60870-5-104), allowing both the HMI of the new system and the SCADA/DMS HMIs to execute remote commands for the distribution keys. Legacy systems are updated with all data from the new system.

Neoenergia Distribuição Brasília (formerly CEB) is an electricity concessionaire responsible for the Federal District and surrounding areas. With a view to increasing the quality of service to its customers, the company structured a project that allows for remote supervision and operation in all pole switches and automated reclosers.

During the rainy season (January to March), in the first year of use of the system, there was a reduction of 9.13% in Equivalent Outage Duration by consumer and 10.162% in Equivalent Outage Frequency by consumer.
